Impossible Unicorn Birthday Card

Nine years ago, my son got a three day leave and rushed home from the Middle East to be here for his daughter’s birth.

Fast forward to this summer, and here is our first baseman.

Her Dad was telling me she enjoyed talking on the phone with her friends, so I asked what they talked about. (I was afraid it might be boys!). “Unicorns”, he said! She is all about unicorns.

I have been wanting to make an “Impossible” Card for weeks. Thanks to my friend Julie for her great tutorial!
Here is what I made for her:

Inking Royalty Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by popular songs – this month’s song is “Here Comes the Sun.” As you can guess, our Blog Hop today is filled with projects that are inspired by the joy of the summer sun. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

  • Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie
  • I have had this sky scene rattling around in my head for days!  I used the Brusho Crystal Colour Set (144101) . This effect is achieved by sprinkling the watercolor powders on your watercolor paper, then spraying with a fine mist of water. Give it some time for the colors to move around and then dry throughly. Then proceed with the rest of your project. Both the sentiment and the bicyclist image are from the Enjoy Life Set (148190).

The art piece is layered on a thin mat of Daffodil Delight (119683), then mounted on a card base of Pacific Point (111350).
