Welcome to InKing Royalty’s April Blog Hop! This year’s hops are themed around some of our favorite songs. Today’s hop is pulls inspiration from B.B. King’s song “Let the Good Times Roll.” How fun is that?! We’ve created projects that either feature images with wheels (cards, wagons, bikes) or celebrate good times. We are excited to share our projects with you. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Mediterranean Moments Watercolor
I watercolored the image from Mediterranean Moments (143191) in bright colors using Stampin Up watercolor pencils and Stampin Write markers. The ribbon is Lemon Lime Twist ombré ribbon (144234).
This piece was mounted on a layer of Cajun Craze card stock (119684), followed by another layer in Lemon Lime Twist (144245). Then I mounted my layers on a card base of Thick Whisper White (140272) card stock. I will add a suitable sentiment when I use the card.

Petal Palette Thank you
I have seen literally dozens of beautiful black and white cards made with this set, due to the Designer Series Paper that complements it so well.
Today, I challenged myself to do something completely different. I could have gone with soft spring colors, but decided to attempt the look of a night sky instead.
My starting point was the rich color of Fresh Fig, which is found in the background piece from the Myths and Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (145600).
In order to keep the nighttime look, I stamped the bird from Petal Palette (145788) on a scrap of Fresh Fig card stock (144242). I then die cut the bird and the branch using Dies from the Petals and More Thinlits Dies (145655). The sentiment is from the same stamp set and was stamped on Basic Gray card stock (121042), then die cut with a Petals and More die. NOTE: you can currently purchase both the stamp set and the dies at a 10% savings by using item number 145974.
I covered the branch with Clear Wink of Stella, then adhered it to the starry sky. Next, I created a nest for my little bird. The nest is Copper Metallic Thread (141696), and her eggs are Glitter and Clear Epoxy Shapes (145632).
I mounted the centerpiece with a thin matt of Basic Gray, then attached it to a cardbase of Thick Whisper White (140272).
You can purchase any of the items I used by clicking on the “shop” button at the top of the page.
Please let me know if you have questions or if I can help you in anyway.
One of the best things about living in an eclectic little mountain town like Mentone, is the fact that you meet all kinds of people. The fun mix of personalities here was one of the deciding factors when we chose to live here.
My mermaid friend had a birthday last week!
Following are pictures of my friend and her card. Check her out! She is so much fun.
Magical Day Mermaid
Card base is a 4 1/4 by 11 piece of thick Whisper White card stock (140272). This heavier weight is perfect for the base of your cards.
Next, I layered on a 4 by 5 1/4 piece of Myths and Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper (145600)
I stamped the sentiment and the mermaid with the Magical Day Stamp set (145857)
The mermaid was colored with Stampin Blends. I die cut both the mermaid and the banner with dies from the Magical Mates Framlits Dies set (145660). PLEASE NOTE: you can save 10% by ordering the stamp set and dies together, using item number (145985). I used the loose scribbled circle from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits (141497), along with a piece of retired glimmer paper to highlight the mermaid figure.
Are you ready to see a mermaid? Here is my friend Lisa. Isn’t she fabulous?
